By accessing and using Octo AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Octo AI provides AI-generated educational content on various topics. The service allows users to create, access, and learn from bite-sized educational materials. The App is available in both free and premium subscription tiers, with premium features requiring a paid subscription through the Apple App Store.
3. User Accounts
You may create an anonymous account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. User Conduct
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the App in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems
- Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the App
- Use automated systems to access the App without our express written permission
5. AI-Generated Content and Third-Party Services
The educational content provided by the App is generated using artificial intelligence through OpenRouter.ai, which provides access to various large language models (LLMs). When you create topics, your input is sent to OpenRouter.ai for processing. Please be aware that:
- Your input data may be used by the underlying AI model providers for training purposes
- We do not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of any AI-generated content
- Users should verify important information from authoritative sources
- OpenRouter.ai and its model providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies
6. User-Generated Content and Library
By creating topics through the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Topics you create may be added to our public library and made available to other users
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your created topics within the App
- Your account information remains anonymous when content is shared in the library
- You are responsible for ensuring that the topics you create do not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws
7. Premium Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers premium features through subscription plans. By subscribing to premium features:
- You agree to pay the subscription fees through the Apple App Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple App Store account settings
- Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy
- We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with advance notice
8. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Björn Schefzyk and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Björn Schefzyk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms of Use on this page.
